How to Organize Your Conversations

Lochbox keeps your different social and professional circles completely separate so that sensitive information never leaks between them. By using distinct network types, you can choose exactly how much visibility and control you want over your conversations. Explore the two ways you can organize your account below.

Personal Networks

The default setting for every user. It functions like a private phone line for your inner circle. Connections and chat history are hidden from everyone else.

Ideal for family, friends, and private 1:1 communication

Custom Networks

In a custom network, you can find and contact members in a shared directory within that specific group and manage members and groups through the admin portal. Owners can assign specific permissions to maintain order and security. These roles define how members interact with the group directory and each other:

  • Admin: Full access to edit members and network settings.
  • Standard: Can communicate freely and invite new members.
  • Limited: Can communicate freely but cannot invite new members.
  • Restricted: Cannot see other members or start conversations; they can only respond to those who message them first.

Ideal for businesses, clubs, teams, or large families.
