Three Decades of Innovation

From pioneering unified messaging to securing critical communications worldwide

1988 – The Foundation

International Voice Exchange founded as a service bureau and software development company, laying the groundwork for what would become Callware Technologies.

1994 – Callware Technologies Born

Incorporated as a spin-off, introducing the first Callegra product—the first voicemail product in the market to access, send, and receive voicemail and fax messages directly to and from any device and to and from anywhere. Revolutionary integration with Microsoft Outlook, Novell GroupWise, Lotus Notes, and web browsers followed.

1998 – Partnering with Defense and Government

First expansion of the Callegra product line with the integration of privacy and security features and begin working with government agencies and the Department of Defense, recognizing the critical need for secure communications in sensitive environments.

2002 – Callegra.UC Launched

Callegra family of products continues to expand with the introduction of its flagship product Callegra.UC, extending capabilities from voicemail to unified communications and providing the ability to send and receive voice and fax messages from any device, anywhere—with .NET Web Service capabilities enabling unprecedented customization and integration through SOAP and .NET programming.

2004 – First & Only JITC Certification

Callegra.UC JITC became the first and only product of its kind to obtain Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) Certification and Information Assurance (IA) Accreditation and has continuously maintained that certification since 2004. Today, it remains the only product of its kind on the DoD Approved Products List and serves as the primary voicemail replacement system for all U.S. military branches.

2022 – Lochbox Technologies Founded

Lochbox Technologies acquires Callware with the vision of extending the privacy and military grade security features established with the Callegra product line into a full-stack communications system delivering a hyper secure solution through a mobile application, bringing together decades of expertise with new innovation capabilities.

Present – Rebranding to Callegra Technologies

Lochbox Technologies rebrands to Callegra Technologies, Inc., honoring the legacy of trust, security, and reliability built over three decades while better aligning company priorities by positioning all of the company’s current and future product offerings within the umbrella of the Callegra brand and supporting the mission to extend highly secure communication products to broader market segments.

Today, Callegra Technologies’ products and services provide solutions to institutions across a broad spectrum of markets that are concerned about securing communications that are of a confidential, critical or sensitive nature.
